As an inventor, a technology startup owner, and a patent agent, Curtis has coached clients in numerous areas of technology since 2009. He is in his element when challenged by smart people with new product or service ideas. A Mechanical Engineer from Missouri Science & Technology, Curtis worked for many years as a product development engineer for a Fortune 500 company, eventually serving in a senior-level role in innovation and intellectual property development. In addition to product development, he has worked in manufacturing, competitive intelligence, marketing, and insurance. Curtis has managed teams from 3 to 90 and has provided strategic consulting to companies of all sizes.
Curtis started Tungsten IP in 2012, a boutique intellectual property firm that has provided consulting services ranging from pre-revenue startups to Fortune 100 companies. Curtis brings a strategic perspective to his consulting engagements and thrives on reducing the complex and confusing to simple, manageable problems or processes.
Prior to college, he worked as a farmer and a mechanic and still enjoys working with his hands.
